If a receiver report is called from a Report Writer report, the
sender report transfers the characteristic values to the receiver
report as well as
the external value variables with their current values that are
used in the report and
additional parameters that might be needed for currency
translation, for example.
If the receiver report is a Report Writer report, the
transferred values for value variables are processed as
follows:
If the sender report transfers a single value for the
accompanying characteristic, the value variables in the receiver
report for this characteristic are supplied with the individual
value separately from the transferred variable values.
If the sender report transfers more than one value for the
accompanying characteristic, the following situations are
different:
1. The sender report transfers an
additional variable value for the value variable:
The variable value of the sender is taken over.
2. The sender report transfers no
variable values for the value variable:
The value for the receiver variables is determined from the
transferred selection variant for the accompanying characteristic
by the following rule:
a) The value variable is only used as
a single value in the receiver report:
The execution of the receiver report is kept on the selection
screen so that the variable value can be entered manually.
b) The value variable is used in the
receiver report as a from-value (does not preclude the additional
use of value variables as single values):
The minimum value of the transferred selection variant is
taken.
c) The value variable is used as a
to-value in the receiver report (does not preclude the additional
use of value variables as single values, such as 'Current period'
for one column and 'Cumulative to current period' for another
column):
The maximum value of the transferred selection variant is
taken.
d) The use of value variables is not
unique in the receiver report:
The execution of the receiver report is kept on the selection
screen so that the variable value can be entered manually.
