Industry: Enhancements to Interfaces Due
to Extended Namespaces
Description
Note
These enhancements affect the material master for industry, not the
material master for retail.
Direct Input
In Release 4.0A, the transfer structures below have been
enhanced as follows:
BMM00
Besides field TCODE, this transfer
structure now contains field TCODE_EXT.
TCODE
You continue to use this field to
transfer the present transaction codes (such as MM01).
TCODE_EXT
You use this field if, in future, you
need to transfer transaction codes that are more than four
characters long. The content of this field is processed only if
field TCODE is blank or contains the NODATA character.
BMMH5
Besides field SPRAS, this transfer
structure now contains field SPRAS_ISO.
SPRAS
You continue to use this field to
transfer the single-character language key, for example, E for
English.
SPRAS_ISO
You use this field to transfer the
language in the new external format (ISO language key), for
example, EN for English. The content of this field is processed
only if field SPRAS is blank or contains the NODATA
character.
BMMH7
Besides field TDSPRAS, this transfer
structure now contains field TDSPRAS_ISO. The fields are used in
the same way as fields SPRAS and SPRAS_ISO in transfer structure
BMMH5 (see above).
ALE Distribution
Release 4.0A contains the new IDoc type MATMAS03. Amongst other
new fields, this IDoc type contains the following two new fields to
take account of the extended namespace for ISO language keys (for
example, EN for English):
SPRAS_ISO in segment E1MAKTM for material descriptions
SPRAS_ISO in segment E1MTXHM for long texts
Each of these fields is processed only if the corresponding
field for transferring the single-character language key (SPRAS for
material descriptions or TDSPRAS for long texts) is blank or
contains the NODATA character.
