Changes to the Project Account Assignment in Sales and Distribution Documents


As of Release 4.0A, you can specify specify WBS elements as account assignment objects in sales and distribution documents, provided they are flagged as account assignment elements.

If you enter a WBS element which is not a billing element as the account assignment object in the sales order item, the system first checks whether there is a higher-level billing element. The revenues from the sale order item are reassigned to the billing element automatically, while the requirements and outward goods movments for the sales order item are assigned to the account assignment element entered. This means you can control costs and revenues from the sales t and distribution document separately in the project.
