As of Release 4.0, the documents used in Sales Support are grouped under the generic term "sales support documents". There are two categories of sales support document:
In Release 4.0, two new sales promotion types have been created:
There is a new field in the sales support document which indicates the direction of the document (inbound/outbound). This can be useful for statistical purposes. You control whether this field is displayed for a particular document type in Customizing.
As of Release 4.0, you can perform subsequent processing such as creating an address list or sending an object in the create mode of a sales support document. When you choose the subsequent function, the sales support document is saved and you reach the requested function directly. In this case, the incompletion process is ignored irrespective of the settings in Customizing. If you do not want a document to be saved in this way, you can deactivate this function by maintaining the FC Exclude field in the corresponding sales support document type in Customizing.
The two new sales promotion types have been preconfigured as follows:
For each sales support document type, you can specify the direction of the activity. You specify in Customizing whether this information should be displayed in the sales support document. For example, as sales promotions are always outbound, the Direction field does not need be displayed in the sales promotion document. However, a follow-up telephone call can be inbound or outbound, so the field is useful in this case.
