Lowest value determination based on range of coverage or movement rate.

Release 4.0A contains the following new functions for determining the lowest value based on range of coverage or movement rate.

1. You can choose the base price from a pre-defined selection. The multi-step procedure has been made more general to enable this.
2. In the range of coverage method, corrected consumption quantities can be analyzed without the source code having to be modified.
3. In the movement rate method, separate threshold values have been introduced for recipts and consumption values.
4. The movement types relevant for determining the rate of movement can be defined in a separate transaction in greater detail than previously in Customizing.
5. The valuation level can be varied, without this requiring any changes in Customizing.
6. The result can also be updated in the tax and commercial prices 1 and 3 fields, as desired.
7. The material master can also be updated online, for example for test purposes.
8. Various user exist are available to enable you to influence the program logic:
a) The devaluation percentages determined by the standard system can be overriden using an additional logic, if required, for example if individual materials are of poor quality. You can also create a short text next to the devaluation percentage. This short text appears in the log list to indicate the materials that have to be re-processed.
b) The material creation date can be changed, for example when carrying out an initial valuation run when R/3 is first implemented.
c) In determining the rate of movement, you have the option of creating a user-specific logic for updating the devaluation indicator and for determining whether stock always has to be devaluated whenever the indicator is greater than zero.
