As of Release 4.0, there are two new print programs: RLVSDR40 and RLKOMM40. These programs are easier to understand and also offer new functions. The old print programs will continue to be delivered, but they will no longer be maintained.
All relevant data, including the personnel number, can be read. You can set this in the section Define print control . If the TO needs to be printed within a certain time, we do not recommend having additional data read.
In addition to the standard transfer order documents, you can
now have labels printed for each transfer order item. This supports
the picking procedure. You activate this in the section
print control in the Implementation Guide (ING), in
the same way as for printing TO documents in general. Here you can
set the switch with up to 4 options, depending on the number of
0 from the rounded quantity in alternative unit of measure
1 from the rounded quantity in of measure
2 from the quantity in alternative unit of measure + remainder in
base unit of measure
3 Always 1 label per TO item (quantity on label in alternative
unit of measure)
Example: base UoM = PC, alternate UoM in warehouse = CAR for 100 pcs, stock removal 220 pcs; with switch 2 this makes: 2 labels at 1 CAR each, plus 20 labels for 1 piece each.
If you wish to print an individual TO item manually, you can also specify a large quantity. In this way, the number of labels can be reduced to larger outer-packaging.
The printer determination is now executed in a new function module that is integrated in TO creation. The only aspects that have changed are:
If you execute multiple printing manually, you can have all the individual steps for two-step picking printed individually. In this way, you can process stock picking, stock allocation, and the direct delivery items independently of one another (direct items are not two-step TOs for delivery, but belong to the reference number).
The display function has been modified. The reason for this is the changed internal logic of the print program RLKOMM40. The sort sequence for the display always corresponds exactly to the sort sequence of the TOs in the reference number for printing. If you execute printing using the old print report RLKOMM00 (this report can still be used to remain compatible with release upgrades), the "old" program that was copied over into the transaction LT28 (Display transfer orders per reference number) should be used for the display function
The sort sequence for transfer order items for printing can now only be changed if you print using the processing function, since the sorting already takes place when the transfer orders are created. In contrast, however, you can set the sort sequence for several transfer orders if you print using the multiple processing function. For this, there is a new table "Print Profile / Multiple Processing" in the IMG in the section on print control. This very flexible table makes it possible to have a control break for printing on a new page if the field content changes. This applies to all fields according to which the sort sequence is executed.
The table extensions and the procedure for maintaining tables are documented in full in IMG.
The switch "Prnt" in the table for print codes is of particular interest. It has been changed to "PTm" (print time). It now has an additional option "Y=Print later", which means that printing does not take place at the time of TO creation. You can then start the printer manually.
With release 4.0, LVSLETASCHEIN (the storage unit document) can also be printed for partial picks from SU-managed storage types when a requirement for complete removal is active. If you are working with a pick point, a notice appears on the paper that the rest of the pallet needs to be transferred to the pick point. Since the system does not post the quantities to the pick point until the transferorder is confirmed, for partial picks, the system can only print a storage unit contents document for the destination storage unit of the transfer order (if one exists). For complete removals, the system prints the contents document as before.
For picks from storage types without the requirement for complete removal, the system does not print storage unit documents, since in this case picks are made directly from the storage bins.
The SU document now displays the complete material identification to include the stock category, special stock and any other identifiers.
If you select the switch "Print documents as selected", the transaction for printing storage units prints SU documents independent from the above logic. This makes it possible to print SU documents manually independent of the Customizing settings.
V=Shipping data, S=Serial number, P=Personnel data, R=Reservations, VP=Packaging proposal
All data is basically available when printing the individual documents. The forms themselves are suggestions for a layout.
The print report RLVSDR10 that was standard through Release 3.0 Standard worked internally with IMPORT ... FROM MEMORY. The corresponding EXPORT ... TO MEMORY used in transfer order porcessing was changed to EXPORT .. TO MEMORY ID 'LVSDRUCK'. Anyone who still wants to print using a modified copy of RLVSDR10 using Release 4.0a needs to append the IMPORT command with ID 'LVSDRUCK' . Otherwise, errors will occur in the printouts. We recommend strongly that you use the most current program (RLVSDR40).
The following notes should help for finding the most suitable
method for modifications. The print program logic has been changed
internally to have possible changes appear more transparent. You
should use the two new Customer Exits for modifications:
RLVSDR40 'Normal TO print' => MWMD0001
RLKOMM40 'Multiple print' => MWMD0002.
They are included after the reading of the data to be printed, before the forms are opened.
If you require other data that cannot be seen on the forms in the standard system, all you need to do is to copy the standard form, modify it, and enter it in Customizing (Table for print codes or warehouse movements). Otherwise, use the Customer Exits, define an APPEND structure for header or item data, read the data, fill the new structures, and add the fields to your own forms (see also the documentation in MWMD0001).
To change the print layout, all you need to do is to copy the forms and then change them. Afterwards, you must maintain them in Customizing (Table for print codes or/and warehouse movements).
If you need your own print logic, we recommend leaving the data selection up to the print programs and, if necessary, only program the print logic yourself in the Customer Exit. (Otherwise, you can store your own programs in Customizing, as up to now.)
If, in spite of the TO split and the sort sequence in the TO, you wish to influence the sort sequence in single printing (that is, not in multiple processing print), you can change the sequence of the TO items in the Customer Exit.
If you want to pass on the information to be printed to one printer only, and this printer then takes care of editing and layout, you can mark a special form for this purpose (see Release Information SAPSCRIPT). In this way, the text is passed on unformatted. This is of interest, for example, if you are using thermal-transfer label printers.
