As of Release 4.0A, you can call up two graphic displays for sample results in the transactions for recording and displaying characteristic results.
Histogram
The histogram displays the frequency distribution of the sample results as a bar chart. In this graphic, you can observe the typical and extreme values for a sample and you can evaluate the location, dispersion, and shape of the distribution. As a comparison, you can also display the probability density of a normal distribution and calculate the capability indexes. You can call up the histogram for quantitative characteristics for which you have recorded single results or classed results.
Run chart
The run chart provides a chronological display of the measured values for a characteristic in the form of a graph. In a run chart, you can observe the dispersion and systematic location changes such as runs and trends. You can also display a trend line (linear regression). You can call up a run chart for quantitative characteristics for which you have recorded single results.
When you evaluate the inspection data, you can also display the inspection results for several samples or inspection lots in a histogram and run chart.
