Master Recipes: Recipe Creation by
Copying Reference from Another Plant
Description
As of Release 4.0A, you can create a master recipe by copying a
recipe, routing, or inspection plan maintained in another
plant.
Plant-specific recipe data
For the following objects, the reference to the source plant is
also kept in the new recipe:
Header materials of the recipe
Factory calendar of relationships
The following objects are copied to the new recipe with
reference to the target plant:
Primary resources
Control recipe destinations
Process instruction categories
These objects must already exist in
the target plant. If not, copying is canceled.
If a secondary resource is not contained in the target plant,
you can use the resource of the source plant. Otherwise, copying is
canceled.
The data on the detail screens of the recipe objects is
checked. You must change the data if an entry:
Is not available in the target plant
Does not match the resource data in the target plant
The system does not check, whether:
The same master inspection characteristics as those used in the
reference exist in the target plant
The characteristics of the copied process instructions have
also been released for use in process instructions in the target
plant
Special features when copying material data
Production versions and material quantity calculations are
not copied.
Component allocations maintained for operations and phases in
the reference are copied. To be able to use them in the new recipe,
however, you must first create production versions to allocate the
alternative BOMs used in the reference to the new recipe.
