A number of regulations in time valuation require you to check the value limits of various time balances. Example of value limits that must be check are the maximum permitted working time according to working time regulations, maximum values for entitlement to time off, minimum break durations, capping of flextime at the end of the period, and so on.
Up until now, you could only make this type of check for time evaluation (RPTIME00) using personnel calculation rules.
As of Release 4.0A, there is a new Customizing table for defining checks for balance limit values. You can still issue messages, cap balances, and generate time wage types, however.
As well as simplifying Customizing, the new table provides new functions such as totaling day balances for different periods which can be defined by you.
Personnel calculation rules TR40, TR50, TR60, TS30, and TS91 are no longer required in the standard schemas TM00 and TM04.
The personnel calculation rules you used previously are still processed. This means that existing installations do not require a conversion.
The new Customizing table for checking balances is evaluated using the new time evaluation function LIMIT.
