Definition

Authorization object for the queue management transaction (SM38).

The queue management facility allows you to access the input/output queues of the R/3 System. It is via these queues that you read batch input data into the R/3 System or send it to other systems.

Without an authorization for the object, a user has no access to this transaction.

Defined fields

The object consists of the following fields:

Queue, management activities: Operations that a user can execute in queue management.

Possible values:

QANZ: Display queue

QAEN: Change queue

QANL: Create queue

QDEL: Delete queue

QSTA: Start queue

Queue identification (unique key): Names of queues that a user is allowed to access.

You can specify names generically or explicitly. If you specify FIBDC explicitly, the user can access only the queue FIBDC. FI*, however, allows access to all queues which have names beginning with 'FI'.

With this authorization, a user can display the queue FIBDC and process data there:
