Definition

Indicator controlling the use of sales orders in make-to-order production.

Use

Use the

account assignment category to determine whether account assignments are permitted for sales order items. This means the R/3 System creates a CO object for the item.

As long as this indicator is set for the controlling area,

If the indicator is not active, the R/3 System neither checks the CO object for sales order items during posting to Financial Accounting, nor updates costs and revenues to the sales order item.

Dependencies

The account assignment category is dependent on the requirements class, itself selected either via the MRP group or strategy group in the Material Master, or via the item category group in the Material Master together with the sales document category.
