Use this indicator to determine the other fields to which the master number is transferred as a default value. The transfer is only made for components which have generation type 8 in number composition. Within a contract number which comprises several components, you can only transport one component.

Example: Transfer to financial project number

It is very important that you note the following in cases where contract numbers are composed from other contract numbers or for the assignment of sequential numbers (generation type 3 or X):

In these cases, the master number has to be transported to the file number and/or the finance project number, so that existing loans with the same master number can be used for calculating sequential numbers when sequential numbers are assigned.

Example: The contract number is composed of the master numbe and a sequential number:

• Master number 7-digit, generation type 8

• Sequential number 3-digit (starting with 001) generation type 3

In this case the master number needs to be transported at least to the

• file number, if the master number is to be the file number

• finance project number, if the master number is to be the object number or is to be an individual master number (can be freely assigned).
  
  
  Note: The finance project number is automatically transferred
  to Financial Accounting (field: BSEG-SAMMNR).
  Since the FI field has only 8 digits, only the first
  8 digits of the finance project number are transferred.
  This means, that when you use the collective document
  function in FI, the finance project number may not be
  longer than 8 digits.
