Report Selection: Display

In the report tree display, you can:

The following functions help you to do this:

Position the cursor on a node and choose Select to obtain a list of all the reports assigned to this node. If only one report is assigned to this node, pressing Select accesses the report directly. You can carry out the select function by simply double-clicking on the node.

Another way of accessing the reports assigned to a node is to choose Goto ® Node. If only one report is assigned to the node, it is displayed in a selection window, not accessed immediately.

Position the cursor on a node and choose Edit ® Expand subtree/Collapse subtree to hide or display the subtree for this node.

You can also carry out this function by simply double-clicking on the "+" or "-" in front of the node name.

Choose Edit ® Find to search for nodes or reports in this report tree.

You can restrict the search to this page or start it from the current line. In addition, you can end the search after a given maximum number of hits.

You do this in a selection screen.

With the functions Goto ® Next node/Previous node, it is possible to jump one node forward or back from the cursor position on the same hierarchy level. If the node you jump to has a subtree of its own, the SAP R/3 System expands the subtree.

Choose Settings ® Tech.name on/off to display the name, as well as the text, for each node. The standard setting is for only the node text to be displayed.

Position the cursor on a node and use the Set focus pushbutton to reduce the view of the current report tree to the subtree for this node.

The first line shows the path for this subtree. Double click on a node in this path to expand the view to the relevant larger subtree.

Choose Settings ® Define init.position to specify that the current screen display is the one to be displayed each time you access this report tree. If you have used the Set focus function to restrict the view to a subtree, only this subtree is displayed when you subsequently access the report tree.

If you have used the Set focus function to restrict the view to a subtree, you can save this subtree. After that, you can jump between different subtrees.

Choose Settings ® Save subtree to save the subtree on display under the name of the top node. In the Save Subtree dialog box, you can also specify whether the subtree should be expanded or collapsed when you next access it.

In this way, you can save several subtrees under your user name.

Choose Goto ® Subtrees to obtain a list of the subtrees saved under your user name. You then select the one you want. You can delete individual subtrees from this list.

Choose Node ® Other tree to jump to another report tree. This can be any other report tree created as part of system configuration.

To run a report defined as an ABAP/4 program, choose Goto ® General reporting to branch to ABAP/4 program processing.

Choose Utilities ® Online manual to obtain more information on the report tree functions.

Use the change <-> display function to switch between the change and display menus for the report tree.
