Using Organization Data to Define Roles
You use organization data to define roles when you rely on your organizational model to guide your business processes. Before starting the standard role transaction, you must assign a relationship between the key fields of an SAP Organizational object and the organizational model. You do this in the SAP Organizational Object transaction (from the R/3 menu: Tools ->Business Workflow -> Development -> Definition Tools -> SAP Organizational Objects -> Create assignments). Here you enter values in the key fields of the object, which are to be assigned to the organizational objects.
Then, create and name a standard role.
On the Create Standard Role screen, choose Organization Data and enter the name of the organizational object.
At runtime, workflow determines which organizational objects have the actual values of the key fields of SAP Organizational objects assigned to them. These organizational objects then become agents of the work item.
