In this step, you define the necessary period parameters for
payroll intervals. The period parameter determines the period in
which payroll accounting is carried out (for example: once a month,
once every two weeks, once a week).
If you have already set up period parameters in Personnel Administration, you need only check them here.
You define a period parameter for monthly payroll runs and a further parameter for weekly payroll periods.

The standard system contains the entry "01" for monthly periods. In this case the payroll period corresponds to the calendar month, i.e. from the first to the last day of the month.
Define as few period parameters as possible. Do not change the entry "01" for monthly payroll periods.
In most European countries, only monthly payroll periods are allowed. In this case, you only need one period parameter.
