Define date modifiers

In this step, you define the necessary date modifiers for your payroll periods.
Different date modifiers are required, if you want to define different paydays for periods with the same periodicity.
If you have already set up the date modifiers in the implementation guide for Personnel Administration, you can check them here.

Example

You define a date modifier whose payday is to be three days before the end of the payroll period, and another whose payday is to be one day before the end of the period.

Requirements

Determine whether or not you want to define different paydays for periods whose periodicity is the same.

Standard settings

The standard system contains the entry "00" for the standard modifier.

Recommendation

Define as few different date modifiers as possible. Change no more than the text for standard modifier "00": do not delete the entry.

Activities

1. If necessary, define additional date modifiers.
2. Assign a clearly identifiable text to each modifier.

Further notes

In most European countries, different paydays are not required. In this case, only one date modifier is necessary.
