Reloading Archive Files (FI)
Before reloading data, you must ensure that the appropriate archive files are on the local drive so that the program can access them. The procedure for reloading data is similar to that for archiving data, and is the same for every archive object.
To reload data:
The system displays the Archive Management: Reload Archive screen.
The system displays the selection screen for maintaining variants. Here you can limit the amount of data for reloading into the system by entering the appropriate selection criteria.
– Test run
If the reload program is started in test mode, the system only simulates the reload run. The system does not change data in the database or in the archive.
– Detail log
The detail log records information on each archive object.
The system asks you whether or not you want to save your values. Choose Yes to save your data.
The system then displays the Save Attributes of Variant (variant name) screen on which you must enter a description for your variant.
Choose Back to return to the Archive Management: Reload Archive screen.
– Select the archive from which data should be reloaded
– Enter the start date for the reload run
– Enter the spool parameters for the reload run.
Choose Job overview to display the status of the jobs you created. For more information on maintaining variants, access the R/3 library and choose Working with R/3 ® Getting Started with R/3.
