Application Customizing (FI-SL)
In addition to maintaining the Customizing settings for the FI_SL_DATA archiving object (refer to Customizing for the FI_SL_DATA Archiving Object (FI-SL) ), you can also perform the following archiving activities in Customizing for Special Purpose Ledger as required:
· Regenerate code for the archiving programs.
· Generate report programs to output reports that evaluate archived data and/or database data.
· Define the report groups and read programs that you can use in archive reporting in order to output reports that evaluate archived data and/or database data.
Before you create an archive and execute the archiving program, you can regenerate the code for the archiving programs in Customizing for Special Purpose Ledger.
You only need to regenerate the code before you start to archive if syntax errors have occurred in the archiving programs. Code is generated automatically when you first install the Special Purpose Ledger application component (table group installation). It is also advisable to regenerate code if you have changed your system setup.
You should not regenerate code while the archiving programs are running.
Generate Archive Report Programs
SAP provides ABAP report programs for some of the standard tables delivered with the Special Purpose Ledger application component (for example, GLT1, GLS1, GLP1, GLFUNCT, GLFUNCA, GLFUNCP). These generated programs allow you to output summary reports and actual and plan line-item reports, which evaluate archived data and/or database data.
If you have modified the standard tables or want to use standard tables for which there are no generated report programs, you can generate or regenerate the programs as required.
If you have installed and activated your own database tables in Special Purpose Ledger, you can also generate the necessary report programs for displaying reports that evaluate archived and/or database data.
Define Report Groups and Programs for Archive Reporting
If you want to output reports that evaluate archived data and/or database data, you have to specify which report groups and report programs you can execute in archive reporting to output such reports. You can specify any of the report groups that you have created in reporting. The report groups 0M11 and 0M12 are delivered with the SAP R/3 System and contain reference reports for table GLFUNCT. You can execute the reports contained in these report groups in archive reporting.
You do not have to specify the archive report programs that you generated in Customizing (see the above section). The system automatically includes these programs so that you can execute them in archive reporting.
For more information about executing archive reports, see Executing Archive Reports (FI-SL) .
