Forwarding Change Request
After change requests have been imported successfully, they are automatically marked for import into subsequent systems. The transport route configuration specifies which change requests are automatically forwarded to which target systems.
Besides automatically forwarding change requests using predefined transport routes, it may be necessary to import a change request into a target system outside the predefined transport routes.
Forwarding: A request is placed in the import queue of the desired R/3 System. It is not imported automatically.
To forward a request manually, proceed as follows:
This takes you to the import overview.
This takes you to the import queue of the selected R/3 System.
The Target system dialog box appears.
7. Enter the R/3 System to which the request is to be forwarded.
The request is placed in the import queue of the target system.
The R/3 System to which the request is to be forwarded must belong to the transport domain.
If the source and target system are in different transport groups, you are told in a message that the import queue of the target system must be adjusted (see: Special Features when Using Several Transport Directories).
The forwarded change request is normally imported into the target system the next time the entire queue is imported.
If the request is to be imported immediately, proceed as follows:
8. In the import queue, choose Queue ® Other queue.
The Display import queue dialog box is displayed.
9. Enter the target system.
10. Choose Continue.
The import queue of the selected target system is displayed.
11. Refresh the display with Edit ® Refresh.
The request you have forwarded is at the end of the import queue.
12. Import the request as a preliminary import.
