Define approval levels for versions

In this step, you define approval levels. Approval levels help to reflect the various stages of the approval process for plan values of an investment program.

You can assign an approval level to a given version. This restricts the processing of the plan values of this version to those users who have authorization for the given approval level. You can increase the approval level of a plan version step-by-step.

Standard settings

SAP supplies sample approval levels.


1. Define approval levels that reflect the organizational structure of your approval process.
2. Define authorizations for these approval levels (Object: A_IMPR_APS).
3. Assign these authorizations to the necessary authorization profiles.
4. Assign approval levels to your versions.
