Budget Distribution to Capital Investment
In this section, you specify how the budget should be
distributed from the capital investment program to its subordinate
capital investment measures. You can control the distribution as
You can specify that the measures belonging to a program
position generally receive their budget distributed from the
program position. You make this specification per program type. The
system then sets the appropriate indicator in the definition of the
program position as a default value. You can change this default
value at the level of the program position.
Alternatively, you can specify a program type in the budget
profile. The budget profile can then be assigned to a project
profile/order type. The result is that the projects/orders that use
this project profile/order type can only be budgeted if they are
assigned to the appropriate program position. This specification is
mandatory, and cannot be changed at the level of the program
If you do not make one of these system settings, the measures
can be budgeted separately. The system does not check the available
budget on the program position they are assigned to. In this case,
the sum of the budgets for the measures can be juxtaposed to the
budget of the program position only in reports.
There is also no
guarantee, that the measures concerned are assigned to a program
position before budgeting takes place.
