Preliminary Costing

Here you define the parameters that influence the preliminary costing of a production order or process order.

You define the following:

A costing variant contains control parameters for the calculation of planned costs and the valuation of the confirmed activities.
A valuation variant determines what prices are used to valuate the materials, internal activities and external activities in preliminary costing. It also determines what activity price is used to valuate the confirmed activities in the Production Planning module.
An order type determines the following (among other things):
You define for each plant what parameters are proposed for cost object controlling (such as the costing variant and results analysis key).
If you are working with CO production orders, the costing variant is proposed through the planning profile.
