Making Settings for Personnel Development

Defining Default User Parameters

  1. Choose System ® User profile ® Own data.
  2. The Maintenance screen appears.

  3. Choose the Parameters tab page.
  4. Make the following settings:

    Restrict career planning to vacant positions only

    Specify a default start date for the data selection period

    Specify a default end date for the data selection period

    END

    <yyyymmdd>

    If you specify a default organizational unit (user parameter PEO), you must also specify a plan version (user parameter POP).

  6. Save these user parameters.

Result

The user parameters are saved, and will be used for all future terminal sessions.

Defining Temporary User Parameters

  1. Choose Settings ® User-specific.
  2. The Settings for Personnel Development dialog box appears.

  3. If you want to change the plan version for this one terminal session, specify in the Plan version field the plan version you want to use.
  4. If you want a default data selection period that is valid for this one terminal session, specify in the Start date and End date fields the dates you want.
  5. Some of the functions in the Personnel Development component only use the start date.

  6. If, for this one terminal session, you want to change the defaults for the alternative qualifications, essential requirements or depreciation meter parameters, make the changes you want in the Qualifications and requirements box.
  7. If you want to use a specific default organizational unit for this one terminal session, make entries in the Org. unit and Plan version fields.
  8. If you want to restrict career planning to vacant positions, select Display vacant positions only.
  9. Choose Continue.

Result

The user parameters have been changed for the current terminal session.
