Maintain Process Assessment

In this IMG activity you determine allocation rules for primary and secondary costs of plan business processes on cost objects (or otherplan business processes) in the form of cycles.

Example for Process Assessment

To create a plan assessment cycle:

1. Enter a name for the cycle.
2. Enter a validity period.
You can also enter a reference cycle. The R/3 System transfers the data from the reference to your new cycle.
3. Maintain the header data for the cycle:
a) Whether to scale negative tracing factors
b) Which currencies are used
c) Which version applies
4. Define cycle segments in which you store the following information:
a) The criteria for selecting the sender costs
Enter the rule according to which the sender values are to be determined(for example, posted and fixed amounts), the share of sender values to be allocated, and whether plan or actual values are to be used.
b) The criteria for distributing costs to the receiver(s)
Enter the rule for tracing factor determination (for example, fixed amounts or percentages) and the tracing factors.
To maintain tracing factors, choose "Tracing factors".
c) Sender objects (single values or groups)
d) The sender cost element to be allocated
e) Sender values (by choosing "Sender values")
f) Receiver objects (single values or groups)
g) If necessary, attributes of the receiver business process(es)
5. Save the cycle

Note on transport

For the transport of settings for Activity Based Costing, an individual function is available in the IMG for "General Controlling".
