Payroll Simulation

Definition

A payroll simulation produces the actual results of a payroll run without locking records or effecting actual data. This section describes the activities you must perform when simulating a payroll run. Simulation runs are ignored when payroll periods are counted in the control record. Master data is not locked. The steps Release payroll and Exit payroll do not apply. Also, the results of a simulated payroll run are not stored on the database; instead, you can displayed in the payroll log and can be printed out.
