Checking Payroll Status for Retirement Liquidation for the Current Period

Prerequisites

You cannot perform a retirement liquidation for the current period if the payroll status of the current period has been released. Before you perform the retirement liquidation, the payroll status must be set to End of Payroll for the previous period.

You can perform retirement liquidation for the current period only for employees that are assigned to a payroll accounting area which has been closed. You must check that the status of the related payroll accounting area is set to End of Payroll before you perform a retirement liquidation for the current period.

Procedure

  1. Select Human resources ® Payroll.
  2. The payroll options screen is displayed.

    You must specify the personnel country grouping and payroll accounting area for which the simulated payroll run will be performed.

  3. Enter the personnel country grouping and payroll accounting area for which the simulated payroll run is to be performed.
  4. You may already have set the personnel country grouping and payroll accounting area when you entered your user parameters.

  5. Select Off-cycle ® Retirement.
  6. The retirement accounting options screen is displayed.

  7. Select Tools ® Control record.
  8. The payroll accounting area selection screen is displayed.

  9. Specify the payroll accounting area for which you want to check the status, and choose Select.

The selected payroll accounting area is displayed.

If necessary, release the corresponding payroll accounting areas. For information on releasing payroll accounting areas, refer to the section Payroll Activities.

Result

The status of the payroll area is checked.
