FI-LC: PC Data Entry and Reporting with Interactive Excel

Description

In Release 4.0B, a new version of the Interactive Excel component replaces the version delivered as of 3.0, which will no longer be maintained by SAP.

Interactive Excel enables Consolidation databases to be linked to the well-know spreadsheet program Microsoft Excel for the following tasks:

For the entry of data, Interactive Excel can be used only in conjunction with the PC data entry component based on Access.
Data can be imported into reports from either the R/3 System or a Microsoft Access database.

Software/hardware requirements

The Interactive Excel component can only be used on a PC on which Microsoft Excel 97 is installed.

In order to import data into Interactive Excel you must have access to an R/3 System or Access database created using the PC data entry program.

In order to export data from Interactive Excel you must have access to an Access database created using the PC data entry program.

Installation information

Interactive Excel functions are added on to the standard Excel application in the form of a template. The required files are delivered by SAP on CD.
