Setting Table Controls

Prerequisites

You must have authorization TCTR in authorization object S_ADMI_FCD in order to make system-wide table control settings.

Procedure

  1. Start the transaction containing the table control you want to change and go to the corresponding screen.
  2. Choose the icon at the upper right corner of the table.
  3. This activates the "Basic Setting" table control variant, if necessary.

  4. Choose Close.
  5. Set the table controls as desired
  1. To change the column widths, position the cursor between two columns, click the left mouse button, and drag the column border to the left or right to set the desired size.
  2. To change column positions, click and hold on the column header, and drag it into the desired position.

Set any non-required columns to length 0.

  1. Choose the icon again at the upper right corner of the table.
  2. Choose Administrator.
  3. The Current settings table displays the attributes you have set.

    You can deactivate those columns you have set to zero by choosing the Invisible checkbox to the right of the column attributes.

  4. Choose Activate.
  5. This changes take effect the next time you call the transaction.

  6. If you need to restore the default settings, simply delete the settings you have established.

Result

The settings you have established now appear as the Basic setting for all users, overwriting the previous screen definition.
